Ye Olde Nags Head is a historic 17th-century coaching inn located in the village of Castleton in the Peak District, Derbyshire. Known for its traditional character and welcoming atmosphere, the inn combines period features with modern comforts, including log-burning fireplaces across its three reception rooms.

 

For this project, I was commissioned to refresh the visual presence through the design of new outdoor signage and an updated menu. The aim was to create a cohesive and considered design system that reflects the heritage of the building while improving clarity and usability for visitors.

 

The outcome was a refined set of signage and menu designs that balance traditional styling with clean, contemporary layouts, enhancing both visibility from the exterior and the overall dining experience.
